Shelley Masters has been transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary on a grand scale for over 25 years.

Her natural artistic talent and innate enthusiasm have landed her commissioned artwork in the most prestigious homes in the Bay Area and throughout the country. Her client list includes award-winning scientists, rock stars as well as associations with world-renowned interior designers, architects and artists. From the modern mansions of Silicon Valley to San Francisco Victorian palaces, to trendy upscale restaurants, hospital chapels and extensive participation in Bay Area and San Francisco Designer Showcases, this alchemist has turned the commonplace into timeless art and has made her client's dreams of being surrounded by beauty come true.

Shelley has traveled and studied how diverse cultures design environments that promote well being, harmony and spiritual balance. She has advanced training in core shamanism and is a council member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies in Mill Valley, California.

Healing Space

Shelley has created a series of lectures and workshops that teach techniques for creating healing spaces and solutions for harmonizing a difficult space. It is her opinion that the experience of beauty and good health are intimately connected, and that it is at our peril that we too often ignore the physical, spiritual and emotional effect of our surroundings.

Currently Shelley is painting a hospice in San Francisco. She has collaborated with a community of medical professionals, families, and a volunteer staff to paint impressionistic murals in 13 small hospice rooms. The painted sky and "Monet" style garden murals help dissolve the walls, and the atmosphere is uplifted by the new spacious visual experience. The staff, patients, and families have remarked that they are more happy and comfortable spending time in one of her hand-painted rooms. This is an example of the healing experience of beauty.
